Richard J. Anthony, Sr., founded The Entrepreneurs Network (TEN) in 2000 in response to a flurry of inquiries from people in their 40s and 50s who wanted to apply their C-level experience to buying or starting a company. An entrepreneur, angel investor and former CEO of a major consulting company, Rick understood the difficulty of making the transition from corporate cocoon to self-employment and self-reliance. The first meeting of six aspiring entrepreneurs has since evolved to a series of five three-hour meetings each year and a data base of over 1000 people who receive notices of the meetings.
Rick is also founder and managing director of The Anthony Group, Inc. a full service management consulting firm specializing in business advisory services, organization effectiveness and performance improvement. He has 35 years of experience as a manager and counselor to senior management. He is an accomplished speaker on managing intellectual capital to accomplish business objectives. His book, Organizations, People & Effective Communication, is available from Amazon.com. He has also authored chapters in three books in recent years: Aligning Pay and Results, After Sixty: Marketing to Baby Boomers Reaching Their Big Transition Years and Geeks, Geezers and Googlization.
He is a member of the adjunct faculty at Villanova University where he teaches courses in Organization and Leadership Communication; Goal Setting; Regaining the Entrepreneurial Spirit in Mature Companies; Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Managing the Multigenerational Workforce.
